The root of most problems is STRESS ... and whether it is physical, mental or emotional stress - if we don't have a way to clear it, it accumulates in our mind and body and causes much of the disease and disharmony in our lives. Headaches, anxiety, insomnia, overweight and problem areas, depression, constipation, acne, aging, cancers, etc. are all stress related issues. Bottom line, congested stress robs us of our health and vitality. Essential Stretch is essential to clear the blockages in the body and open up for the natural flow of Qi (energy). When Qi is flowing naturally (unblocked) we have balance and harmony in our system.

How does this technique do this?

The gentle movements, rhythmic breathing and mind-body focus encourages energy flow, while the active relaxation opens the way for energy to move through and wash away congestion. As you clear the pathways of communication throughout your body - everything works more efficiently and you feel really good all over. Additionally, through this practice, the body learns to stay more relaxed during stressful situations - greatly diminishing the harmful effects of stress. Physically, Essential Stretch opens muscles and joints to greater freedom of movement and makes you feel alive and comfortable in your body.
